SHOWTIME has just released the first part of an intimate four-part documentary series chronicling the life of pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather as he prepares for his showdown against pound-for-pound contender Manny Pacquiao. The first episode introduces Mayweather, looking at his life before the fame and fortune he possesses today. This episode covers Mayweather’s relations with rival promoter Bob Arum and his controversial loss at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, all mixed with several training footage. As per the fight’s contractual conditions, SHOWTIME will continue to highlight Floyd Mayweather’s life until the May 2nd showdown, whereas HBO will profile Manny Pacquiao with its own pre-fight programming.
