Skepta Channels his Inner Fela Kuti in “Pure Water” Video

Grime lord Skepta, has finally unleashed the official video for his self-produced banger “Pure Water”. The new predominantly black-and-white visuals see the North London rapper with Nigerian heritage serving cold bars while channeling his inner Fela Kuti with the face art and a bunch of beautiful African women that could be likened to Fela’s queens. Wizkid also made a cameo appearance in the video.

Meek Mill Drops Video for “Dangerous” featuring Jeremih & PnB Rock

Meek Mill has just released the official video for “Dangerous” featuring PnB Rock and Jeremih. The song serves as the lead single taken off the Philly rapper’s EP Legends Of The Summer, which is his first project since getting released from prison in April.

The Kid Art-directed visuals see Meek Mill all swanked up doing the regular, with a lot of ice, scantily clad women, stacks of money, and luxury goods. Jeremih and PnB Rock delivered their respective verses in a black-and-white setting.

Burna Boy Pays Homage to Fela Kuti in Official “Ye” Visual

Burna Boy has finally blessed his fans with the highly anticipated visual for his top-charting track “Ye,” taken from his Outside album which released in January. The Clarence Peters-directed visual sees the Afro-Fusion artist having a good time with this friends, while keeping it swanky in some fashionable garments, a nice Bentley Continental GT, and some pretty women. Most importantly, the crisp video finds the Atlantic Records artist paying homage to the legendary Fela Kuti, by performing in front of a mural of him, as well as moonwalking and waving a massive flag with the Afrobeat legend’s face on it.

Speaking to The FADER about the inspiration behind the music video, Burna Boy said: “Ye is a song that essentially shows the unrelenting nature of Nigerians (where I’m from). We thrive despite the leadership and circumstances. Everyone has big dreams that logically may or may not be achieved; Aspiring to have a Bentley, g-wagon regardless of their current situation.”

Watch: Wale – Black Bonnie (Official Video) ft. Jacquees

Wale has unveiled the visual treatment to his Jacquees-assisted single, “Black Bonnie.” Directed by Yasha Gruben, the video sees the Washington, D.C. rapper in various scenes throughout history, working the Bonnie-and-Clyde narrative into his progressive black love storyline, alongside his love interest played by Ashley Blaine Featherson.

In one scene, Wale takes the throne and celebrates with his queen in a village in Africa. The couple lead the Black Panther movement in another scene, and the video ends with a flashback, as Clyde meets his Bonnie for the first time in a coffee shop.

“Black Bonnie” is a single off Wale’s March EP It’s Complicated.

Drake takes it back to the city of London for his latest video for “Nonstop,” from his new album Scorpion. The Theo Skudra-directed black and white visual which just premiered on Apple Music, features footage from Drizzy’s Wireless Festival 2018 performance, and shots of him chilling around different locations in the city of London, in a museum, nightclub, outdoor restaurant, and riding on a double decker bus. Some familiar faces such as Giggs, Michael Dapaah a.k.a. Big Shaq, Quavo, French Montana, and Noah “40” Shebib made a cameo appearance in the video as well.
