Dekantā Unveils 6-Year-Old Kikou Japanese Whisky Finished in Port Ellen

Japanese whisky retailer, Dekantā, has launched its first private-label, single-cask bottling, in the form of a 6-year-old whisky named “The Kikou,” which aims to blend the future of Japanese whisky with an iconic Scottish distillery of the past.

The Kikou Japanese whisky is sourced from Eigashima distillery in Japan, and then aged in a rare cask from the world renowned Port Ellen distillery in Scotland. This makes it a remarkable marriage of an iconic Japanese distillery with one of Scotland’s most famous silent distilleries.

The launch also coincides with Dekantā’s third anniversary, and with only 300 bottles made, the Kikou availability will be highly limited. The bottle will go on sale starting June 13, 2018, for $649.99 USD. The amazing story behind this whisky combined with its beautiful presentation makes the Kikou a must-have for every collector.
