Microsoft Introduces the Surface Studio All-In-One PC

Microsoft has just gone berserk with the new addition to its Surface family. At the “Imagine What You’ll Do” event in New York City yesterday, the tech giant introduced the Surface Studio, an all-in-one desktop version of the classic tablet PC.

The Surface Studio boasts a 28-inch PixelSense display, which according to Panos Panay – the leader of Microsoft’s Devices Team, is the “world’s thinnest monitor ever built,” at 12.5mm. Panay went on to reveal that the display also outputs 13.5 million pixels, which is 63 percent more than a 4K television. Additionally, the Microsoft Surface Studio supports expanded color output, meaning it’ll be perfect for creatives, with its 3:2 aspect ratio and 192 pixels per inch.

The all-in-one PC comes with an Intel Core processor, a 2TB hybrid hard drive, an NVIDIA GPU, 32GB RAM, and a new haptic feedback device known as the Surface Dial. Thanks to a “linear mic array,” the Surface Studio will also be able to recognize its owner’s voice while they’re in the room.
