Louis Vuitton has unveiled its first-ever fragrances for men, roughly two years after the French fashion house introduced its inaugural perfume collection, with seven scents for women. Created by in-house perfumer Jacques Cavallier and bottled by Marc Newson, “Les Parfums” for men consists of five distinct fragrances that “pay homage to the adventurer on a quest for self-revelation.” The five distinct scents are aptly dubbed “L’Immensité,” “Nouveau Monde,” “Orage,” “Sur La Route,” and “Au Hasard.”
L’Immensité is comprised of bitter grapefruit, ginger, labdanum and ambroxan to create a “sporty” scent. Nouveau Monde combines cocoa extract and oud to give a “woody” scent. Orage blends iris and patchouli to create an “earthy” scent. Sur La Route is made up of a mixture of Calabrian lemon, cedar and bergamot to produce a more “fruity” scent. Au Hasard rounds out the range, with a combination of sandalwood, cardamom and ambrette seeds to create a “slightly spicy” scent.
With prices starting from $240 USD, Les Parfums for men, by Louis Vuitton, will be available in 100ml and 200ml sizes for the home edition, and a travel edition which includes four 7.5ml cartridges that can be inserted into the included travel bottle.
