German luxury watchmaker Montblanc, has revealed the newest addition to its smartwatch line with the Summit 2.
The Summit 2 boasts a traditional circular profile and a compact unisex 42mm case size, inspired by the brand’s 1858 collection. It is also the first luxury smartwatch to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset, which offers improved performance as well as new features like longer battery life, weeklong time-only mode, Google Pay, a Timeshifter app to eliminate jet lag, and an exclusive Montblanc Running Coach app. The RAM has also been upgraded from 512MB to 1GB, internal storage is now 8GB compared to 4GB, and the components are housed in a 14.3mm-thick case equipped with a 1.2-inch screen that runs Wear OS 2.1.
Furthermore, the Summit 2 features a built-in watch face configurator that enables over a thousand watch face combinations possible, and offered in different case finishes like black DLC steel, stainless steel, bicolor steel and titanium Grade 2 — all of which can be combined with 11 different strap options.
