Nike has officially unveiled the LeBron James x John Elliott Icon Collection. The upcoming range is made up of the Icon QS basketball lifestyle sneaker along with a selection of apparel to complement it.
Back in May, LeBron wore the black and white version of the sneakers, which John Elliott has dubbed “Icon,” on his customary pre-game catwalk to the locker room. The designer’s Instagram account documented the whole event, where he posted images of LeBron wearing the shoe on-court and post-game.
John Elliott describes the shoe as a “breakthrough,” adding that the collaboration was “a gift as a creative, and one you can only exercise through the Nike lens.” LeBron James had been a fan of Elliott’s work since 2014, when the designer made some supplies to his stylist.
The selection of apparel to complement the footwear in the Icon collection, include a sleek zip-up bomber, hoodie, long sleeve t-shirt, pants, and cap.
The Nike LeBron James x John Elliott Icon collection is scheduled to release on August 4 in North America, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia and Brazil, with prices ranging between $60 USD and $300 USD. Additional launches will follow in China on August 25 and in Europe on September 1.
