After many rumors and speculation, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Space Jam 2 is indeed happening, and LeBron James will be starring in the film. Justin Lin, Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello are joining forces to write the script for the sequel, as Lin is also hoping to direct and produce film.
The original Space Jam released back in 1996, starring Michael Jordan, and it earned $230.4 million USD worldwide. As for now, no info has been disclosed regarding a release date or when shooting will commence, but be sure to stay tuned for more.
