Aston Martin Marks its Historic 1959 Le Mans Victory with the DBS 59

To mark Aston Martin’s historic 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans victory with its iconic DBR1, Q by Aston Martin is creating a special collection of 24 DBS Superleggeras – one for every hour of the historic endurance race.

Aptly dubbed the “DBS 59”, the supercar features bespoke design elements, hand-crafted interiors and graphic elements taken directly from the DBR1 and the race it famously won. The high-performance coupe boasts the timeless Aston Martin Racing Green paintwork and gloss finish Carbon Fiber elements on the roof, roof strake, and painted bonnet louvers.

The interior of the is covered in a combination of Obsidian Black and Chestnut Tan leather with accents using fabric inspired by the seat material used in the DBR1. Furthermore, a bronze detailing is strategically used throughout the exterior and interior, and custom saddle leather helmet pods in the rear compartment that hold special edition ‘DBS 59’ crash helmets, race suits and gloves.

Under the hood, the DBS 59 is powered by a twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 engine that cranks out 715 horsepower, and 663 lb-ft of torque available at 1800 to 5000rpm, which is capable of achieving 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 211mph.

As mentioned earlier, only 24 units of the Aston Martin DBS 59 will be built, and each one will be sold exclusively through Aston Martin Cambridge.
