Mercedes-Benz officially debuted its highly-anticipated 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT R, this week. The car features more motorsport technology than any other production vehicle on the planet.
The components under the hood, such as the front-mid-engine concept with transaxle, the twin-turbo V-8 engine which cranks out 585 horsepower and enables the car to go from 0-62mph in just 3.6 seconds before ultimately topping out at 198mph, the new aerodynamics, the extensively modified suspension, and the intelligent lightweight construction, all join forces to deliver the framework for an outstanding driving experience.
The exterior on the other hand, sports an exclusive “AMG green hell mang” paint job that will undoubtedly grab attention. Wider front and rear wings that provide optimum grip and higher cornering speeds, while the new front fascia with active elements, the large rear aerofoil and the new rear fascia with double diffuser in enhance aerodynamic efficiency and help ensure optimum grip.
Lightweight forged wheels with cup tires come standard on the new GT R, while other stock features include active rear-wheel steering, a nine-way adjustable traction control system and adjustable coil-over suspension with additional electronic control.
The 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT R is scheduled to arrive this November 21st, while the market launch in Europe begins in March 2017.
