A second trailer for the forthcoming biopic about the iconic rap group N.W.A, Straight Outta Compton, has been released. Picking the film title from N.W.A’s seminal debut LP, the F. Gary Gray-directed, film looks at the dangerous streets of Compton in California, in the mid ’80s as Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, MC Ren, DJ Yella and co. translated their experiences into a brutally honest album that shook the rap world, revolutionizing hip-hop and rebelling against the authority with an explosive voice that had never been heard.
Straight Outta Compton stars Corey Hawkins, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell, Aldis Hodge and Neil Brown Jr. as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, MC Ren and DJ Yella, respectively, and even depicting the likes of a younger Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight and Warren G, and it is scheduled to hit theaters August 14.
