BMW has just introduced the Vision iNEXT self-driving electric car. Although currently a concept, the production model is due to arrive in 2024.
The BMW Vision iNext is the first model to use the German automaker’s new vehicle architecture, as well as being the company’s first long-range battery electric vehicle. Other features include a large interlinked double-kidney grille, panoramic roof, aerodynamic 24-inch wheels, touch-sensitive suicide doors and a carbon-fiber passenger cell, as well as cameras instead of wing mirrors. BMW is also aiming for the vehicle to feature a level-3 autonomy, which will come with hidden sensors and retracting steering wheel and pedals.
Stay tuned for more features and details on the Vision iNext as they become available before 2024.
