“Dilemma” was one of the biggest songs in the early 2000s. The song was also one of Nelly’s most successful song till date (if not his most successful), and it features singer-songwriter Kelly Rowland. “Dilemma” served as the third single from the Nelly’s second studio album Nellyville released in 2002, as well as the lead single from Rowland’s debut solo album Simply Deep also released in 2002.
“Dilemma” hit number one in ten countries, including the UK, the US and Australia, selling over 7.6 million copies worldwide. In the 55th Anniversary of the Hot 100 issue of Billboard magazine, the song was ranked at number 75 on the all-time Hot 100 songs, and at the end of 2009 was named the 11th most successful song from 2000 to 2009, on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade. “Let Me Hold You” is the first single off Bow Wow’s fourth album Wanted released in March 2005, and it features R&B singer Omarion – making it duo’s very first collaboration together. “Let Me Hold You” was co-written and co-produced by producer Jermaine Dupri and No I.D., and it uses a sample of Luther Vandross’ 1985 version of Brenda Russell’s “If Only for One Night”.
The song peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100, making this the first top 10 hit for both Bow Wow and Omarion as a solo artist. The song also hit numbers 2 and 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Mainstream Top 40 charts respectively, and reached the top 40 in many countries including Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the UK. “Let Me Hold You” was certified Platinum by the RIAA for selling over 1,000,000 copies.
