Facebook has introduced yet another feature in the form of a dedicated web chat interface at Messenger.com. The Messenger site features a list of your threads on the left, with a big, clean, white chat window on the right. Most of the mobile app’s features are available for use from the site, including audio and video calls, stickers, and photos. For now it lacks the ability to record and send audio messages, instantly sending a photo from your web cam, or using the new Messenger platform content sharing apps. But just as splitting Messenger from Facebook’s app on mobile has given the company more room to add additional features and functionality, so could be the case on desktop. This feature is rolling out worldwide for English users, with support for more languages to come.
